Dress: M Missoni via Gilt; Shoes: Brian Atwood (gift);
Necklace: J.Crew (old); Sunnies: Prada (gift)
A couple of weeks ago my mom and I attended our second baby shower of the month. This shower was for Amy, someone I used to babysit some 25 years ago, and I can't believe she's old enough to have a baby! (I also attended her wedding and said the same thing at that event.) How am I old enough to attend such grownup events?
This time we new the gender of the baby, and I was all prepared to wear blue, but Mother Nature just didn't want me to wear my new dress. It was a chilly day, only in the 50s, so I laid everything out on the bed that I thought would work for a shower and keep me warm. Okay, so I didn't lay out everything.... I ran across this dress at the last minute. I pulled it out of the closet and held it up next to another dress I was thinking of wearing (seen here). I asked McKinley to decide. He looked at both and then pointed to this one. That kid has excellent taste. Missoni it was!
Dresses are hard to style a second (or third or fourth) time around. Especially, this dress. I tried belting it but that just wasn't an option. This time, I went for a chunky necklace, peep toe pumps and gold accessories. At least my nails were in line with the gender. If you can't guess, she's having a boy!

Happy May Day!!
