Wednesday Wants - Anything and Everything ZARA

I've been a fan of ZARA for years, but ever since I lost Piperlime, I'm leaning toward ZARA more and more. I love their mix of vintage inspired fabrics and cuts, their nod toward the 70s, and their sweet looks. It's all so very feminine with the florals, eyelets, and flowy designs. I'm honesty obsessed! I've been cyber stalking their site and it just keeps getting better!

I've narrowed down my picks to 12, I know that seems excessive, but just take a look at what I've picked and you'll see why! Then, head over to their site to continue the love fest and see all the other items that could have made the list!

I have a confession to make. I already on the top of number 2, the jeans of number 12, and I'm ordering the dress from number 1! Actually, I'm exchanging the size. ZARA does run on the smaller side, in my opinion, so don't be afraid to size up. I ordered this jacket several years ago, but wish I had ordered it a size bigger. It's totally fine, but for my own personal preference, a larger size would be a little more comfortable at times.

So what would I order if I were to place an order today? I just can't answer. I am constantly changing my mind. At first I thought it would be number 10 and number 4. But then I look at the pieces again and I go with number 5 and number 7.

Which ones would you order? Let's chat!

A Sunday Afternoon Concert

 Jumpsuit: Clover Canyon; Heels: Ivanka Trump (white/similar);
Necklaces: Stella & Dot/The Zoe Collective;
Shades: MbyMJ; Bracelets: Kate Spade/Gift/My Grandmother's; Fitbit Bracelet: Bezels and Bytes
 Lip Color: NARS Heat Wave

Last Sunday McKinley performed with his class, and other Preschool and Pre-K classes, in a spring concert. It was the cutest and sweetest thing I've ever witnessed. I took pictures and video and cried tears of pride as he sang his little heart out for the audience. It made this "theater mama" proud. I'm not convinced I have a stage child on my hands, but I will take any performance from him I can get!

The concert took place at a little church around the corner from the school. I didn't want to be overly dressed so I really wasn't sure what to wear. Jeans were out of the question, a dress would have been too much, and then the floral print of this jumpsuit simply jumped out and grabbed my attention. I added color with my heels, kept my accessories to a minimum, but added some punch with my orange lip. A Sunday look I love!

Wednesday Wants - My Spring Picks

Because it's spring, because I'm dying to shop, and because it's Wednesday, I am starting a new segment called Wednesday Wants. I'm always on the hunt for something new, especially when a season changes, but spring always inspires me. The new buds on the trees, the birds chirping outside our windows, and wearing something in springy colors just makes me happy! I have compiled some of my major wants for spring and I'm currently making room in my closet for a few. Check them out below!

Collages Are My Thing

Can I just tell you that it's too cold to do anything! Okay, maybe not too cold to go and get your hair cut and colored, but it's too cold to do anything else! I'm wearing my warmest sweaters possible, but that doesn't mean I'm stepping foot outside to take pics! Instead, I'm creating collages of all the pieces I want for spring! It's entirely too cold to go shopping, so I'm cyber-stalking via the net.

I'm continuing to explore florals, too many to ignore, but I'm also into the windowpane/gridline trend, and eyelet cutouts. And I'm finding that I'm gravitating towards whites, grays, and mute colors. Could be a subtle spring for this girl! Check out some of favs below!

Shopbop - Spring Florals

There may be snow on the ground, sub zero temps, and layer after layer of clothing to keep warm, but spring is on the horizon! And with spring comes new growth in the form of blossoming blooms. I am loving all the floral prints for spring and I'm having a hard time deciding on color, pattern, and style. I've narrowed it down to six, but I'll be honest, I started out with nine! They're all so pretty! Check out my six picks below.

Are you ready for spring? Are you ready to tackle florals in your wardrobe? I can't wait to add this feminine print to the mix. Now, which one to pick? Which one is your favorite?

Happy Wednesday!!

Building My Closet

By the title of this post, one would think I was actually building a closet. I so wish that were the case! I could use a new closet. Like a huge closet that was the size of a spare room. That is my dream! To buy a five bedroom house and turn the fifth bedroom into MY closet. Not one that I would share with anyone else in the house. A space that would be all mine. I would have an island in the center filled with my jewelry, scarves and other odds and ends. I would have a settee, a wall for just my shoes, shelving for handbags and a chandelier hanging in the center of it all. It would be a true celebrity closet!

Until then, I am building my tiny closet with spring and summer essentials. I previous blogged about some amazing pieces from Ann Taylor and from that post I now own pretty much everything! Okay, the only thing I don't own is the 3/4 sleeve top. I wore the hot pink pants in Spring Looks Bright and I'm looking forward to wearing them again soon. With all this snow, over twelve inches, I can't get past Sportos, winter coats and gloves. These lovelies make me smile when I open my closet doors.

 Thank goodness for Twitter! If it hadn't been for Twitter, I would have missed a Tweet between bloggers that I follow and I would never have discovered this awesome button down from Anthropologie. I've been looking for a high/low button down and this one is perfect! Light weight with 3/4 sleeves, it will be great alone or paired with blazers and cardigans or belted for contrast. Chunky jewelry and scarves will be great as well. I love a good basic!

Printed denim is the new colored denim in terms of trends. Hang on to your colored denim, just make sure you add a little print as well. As it turns out, I already owned a pair of leopard print denim from LOFT that I wore all last spring and summer. See them here: 1/2/3. I added this colorful floral pair from Ann Taylor this past weekend! The possibilities are endless. They would look great with the button down above! Just add color with jewels or shoes. A colorful handbag would do that trick as well. Just make sure it's a solid.

I may not have hit the purchase button yet, but I have been stalking this moto style jacket from Nordstrom for several weeks! I love the contrasting sleeves and the neutral palate of cream. It's perfect to throw on over t-shirts or camis with my favorite boyfriend jeans. A chunky sandal or sweet flat would compliment the look. Should I just go for it?

Does this winter weather have you longing for spring? Don't wait for the snow to melt. Start building your closet so you are ready when that first sunny, snow free day, is upon you!
