So Much Love

Coat: Ann Taylor; Top: LOFT; Jeans: LOFT; Shoes: Sole Society; Necklace/Ring: Silpada
On McKinley:
Coat: Mini Boden; Shirt: Baby Gap; Jeans: Target;  Shoes: Stride Rite

There is so much to love about all of this!! I love that McKinley wanted to be part of this "shoot"! He literally hung out by my side the entire time. My mom would knock on the window to get his attention, in hopes of him heading toward her, but no dice! My dad was able to get him to kick leaves over to him a couple of times, as you will see below, but he would head right back over! I loved it!

I also love this look! I have been trying to recreate a look from Paris Fashion Week that I love (third street photo in the post), and I had planned to wear this top, but decided to go all neutral to let the shoes shine. So glad I did. I got nothing but love for the shoes from everyone I encountered! See, so much love!

Know what else I love? These jeans are a size 6!!! LOVE that!

Happy Monday!

Style Inspiration

A couple of weeks ago I blogged about Paris street fashion and how C'est Si Bon (it's so good)! And I'm still haunted by a particular look I posted from Fab Sugar. It's something so effortless yet so chic and so pulled together. And, it's something we can all recreate! However, I personally need the right coat in order to re-create this particular look.

I have the rugged jeans, I can find a colorful top but I've been scouring the internet for something similar to the floral blue coat on the left and have been left empty handed. However, I've found some amazing alternatives. Check out the coats I think would work well when restyling this look for me!

The black and white coat from Anthropologie on the left is amazing! It's a timeless design. The leopard print on the right from Banana Republic is so fun! A wild print like this is perfect with distressed denim!

This floral leopard print from Ann Taylor is a little more reserved. Still a huge statement piece and so versatile.

Even though that aren't as bright in tone, they are perfect for the look I am trying to achieve. I also think these from own collection can work as well.

I'm also thinking of searching our local vintage store for inspiration!

What do you think of this look?

C'est Si Bon

Three little words seem to sum up Paris, Cest Si Bon, or "it's so good". When I think of Paris, I think of croissants, macaroons and champagne. Or Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Dior. And when I think of quintessential French street style, I think edgy, sleek and sophisticated! See, three words....

Think about the fashionable movies that have taken place in Paris and the amazing pieces that were worn by the actresses. The Devil Wears Prada and Andy Sachs immediately comes to mind. Remember the all black ensemble she put together toward the end of the movie? The half up-do, ruby red lips and sleek top and skirt ooze sophistication. Then there are the pieces from Sex and the City that Carrie Bradshaw took when she met Alexsandar in Paris. The first thing that comes to mind is the Versace dress with tier and after tier of tulle!

Any of these The Devil Wears Prada looks work, right?

And THE dress....

Today when getting dressed, I tried on three different tops with one skirt before deciding on a completely different top and skirt combo. After I got the look put together, I felt very French. Parisian woman, in my opinion, look so pulled together without trying hard. I tried too hard on the first look but the second one just simply came together. I can't wait to show you pics!

I've been browsing the internet, because isn't that what people do for inspiration, to find some Paris street fashion that epitomizes my ideas! I've never been, but in my mind, this is what it's all about!

Every single one of these looks are looks I would love to recreate. Each one is as chic as the next and all of them carry an air of cool that I'm not sure I could ever pull off. I'm willing to give it a try! C'est Si Bon!
