This is the dress I wanted to wear to baby shower number two last month. However, it was perfect for the office on a windy spring day! The moment I opened the box, I fell in love with this dress! How could I not? The color is amazing, the fit is perfection and the peplum makes it look like it could be separates. An all around must-have dress!

I kept the styling simple as the focal point should be the dress! I honestly couldn't think of a more perfect shoe than these Vince Camuto heels. The color is so neutral, but if you take a closer look, there is a hint of royal blue in the print. The perfect tone of the dress! I also love the multi-leather straps around the ankle. These details make a shoe! The clutch, my mom's, is what "they" in the industry refer to as a day clutch. It fits all of your essentials without carrying that extremely large tote everyday! My arm has never felt more free! Lastly, the necklace. It's a new piece from Tori Spelling and lays perfect on the neck adding that bit of glamor!

I've never felt so lady like!

What do you think of my "new" vest. A real vintage piece that's originally from heart of Texas. I love the creamy caramel color and the leather is so soft! Years of wear will do that. I'm looking forward to the challenges of styling it. It's such a standout piece that it has to be just the right look to make it work. 

This look is very out of the ordinary for me. When I originally styled it, I second guessed myself but decided to just go for it. Taking risks, dressing outside your comfort level  and challenging yourself to rework your wardrobe is what fashions all about, right?

The spring wardrobe is still being revitalized by this amazing late summer weather we're receiving! I haven't even thought about sleeves, let alone 3/4 ones, since April. This dress was last seen in March with fishnets and close toed shoes. This time around, I opted for bare legs and peep toe pumps. What a difference 20 degrees makes!!

I'm thinking since green is so big for fall, I might try to take this look into early fall by adding tights and a blazer. Or, I could add a sweater to make it a two piece look. I love a dress with options!

As I was reading Kendi Everyday earlier this week, she blogged about her "no-brainer" long black skirt. And I felt the same way when I purchased this skirt earlier in the summer. A black skirt. So simple to style, right? Wrong! I've only worn this skirt twice, this being the second time, because its super hard to style! I hated the first attempt which is why you never saw it!

I had some time to myself to play "fashion show", a game my husband just loves to play. Here are the rules. Rule Number One:  I try on clothes to see what outfits look good together. Rule Number Two: My husband waits while I put together the outfit and then he tells me what he thinks. Rule Number Three: I wear the outfits I've put together. Pretty simple game don't you think? This time, I was alone for fashion show and this was the only outfit that came of my time alone. Game over!
