I'll be honest. On this particular morning I just wasn't feeling it. I didn't want to get out of bed, let alone think about what I would wear. Normally, I think of outfits the night before. Since that didn't happen, the result was jeans. There is something about jeans. They are comforting. Like taking your favorite blanket with you to wrap up in during the day.

 

The jeans were all I had in mind! I knew it was supposed to be warmer than normal so I grabbed something the resembled fall, brown. And that's how it all came together. I love the mix of hues. However, I think I look the sans jacket! It just makes me appear wider than I actually am. On the other hand, I have never received as many compliments as I did with this look.

I was in desperate need of new pants and J.Crew just happened to be having a huge sale!! I had to partake, right? Pink wasn't really on the agenda. I was looking for the basics; black, cream, brown...but then these showed up on my screen!  I love how neutral they are. They really can be worn as easily as black. And how cute will they be on Valentine's Day! I think I just gave away my post idea...

The sweater is a great way to break up the pinks. Although they may be different hues, they play off of each other well. Don't be afraid to mix and match.

I purchased this darling top earlier in the week from one of my fav boutiques in town, Standard Style. Super comfy, super cool and super colorful! It's just plain super! At first I wasn't sure how to style it. Go for crisp white jeans and fun shoes? Boyfriend jeans and flats? Then I remembered my electric blue crops and the rest was history!

My mom and I made a trip to Nordstrom's yesterday afternoon for their Annual Sale. So glad I chose this to wear. I knew I wanted to be comfy, and trendy, for all that walking and shopping we would be doing. But, I hadn't planned for how hot the store would be. With all those women in the store, florescent lights all around us and constantly exercising our credit cards, it was an oven! Pretty sure this outfit will help keep me cool all summer long!

 

And what better way to cool off than with a FREE Slurpee from 7-11. That's right, yesterday was July 11th or 7-11, so they were giving away free Slurpees. I love how the cup matched my outfit!
