Below are some of my favorite looks, but I there is one simple thing missing. The Balenciaga Arena Classic City in Noir! And, thanks to Fashion Chalet, she is sponsoring a super generous giveaway of this specific bag! How amazing is this little guy/gal? (To see it just click on the above link!) And, who amazing would it look with each of these outfits? I think it would be pretty MAH-JOR!

Weekend Casz Looks
Jacket: Ann Taylor Loft; T-Shirt: Target;
Jeans: Ann Taylor Loft; Boots: Camper;
Long Necklace: Silpada; "M" Initial: Tiffany (gift);
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (gift)
I have been trying to perfect the best weekend look that encompasses both a casual vibe and style. I can't remember the last time I went out of the house in a sweatshirt and tennies! Instead, I've grown incredibly fond of my boyfriend jeans, I now own four different styles, and ankle boots. This weekend I wore a wool jacket that reminded me of private school attire and my favorite Camper boots. I turned around a paired different boyfriend jeans with a cashmere t-neck and another fav in the boot category. At the last minute I added the Missoni for Target infinity scarf and love the contrasting colors. In my quest, I've discovered you can be casual and stylish and you can leave those sweats and tennis shoes for the gym!
Sweater: Land's End; Belt: Banana Republic;
Jeans: Ann Taylor Loft; Boots: Farylrobin;

High Power Interview
What would one wear to a high power interview for a job in the fashion industry? That's a question I've been asking myself over the past couple of days in anticipation of NOT getting the interview. But, in case I do, I want to be prepared and I think this look covers it.
When interviewing for a job in the fashion world, you aren't held to the same "business dress" standards as corporate America. And, when the job is for a famous stylist who's own clothing line is "Boho Chic", I don't think she'll expect suiting and hosiery! Here is what I would love to wear.
1) A bow tie blouse peaking out from this gorgeous leather blazer with chain detail is delightful
2) Wide leg trousers make your legs look longer and compliment the fitted blazer.
3) With the gold chain detail in the blazer, load up your wrist with gold bangles and watch.
4) When crossing your legs, these Brian Atwood plum pumps keep the look from going too business.
5) A great satchel will hold your resume, planner, phone and other essentials.
6) Diamonds are a girls best friend and simple statement with the other details.
7) And last but not least, you need those Gucci shades to keep that blaring LA sun out of your eyes.Wednesday, January 11, 2012
Painters Smock
Denim Shirt: J.Crew Outlet; Top: Ann Taylor Loft;
Cords: Ann Taylor Loft; Boots: Seychelles;
Bangles: Silpada; Sunglasses: Prada (gift)
This outfit looked so much better in my head! I thought the whole look would be a little more fitted, but instead, I look like I'm wearing my painter's smock. Remember when you had to take an old shirt to school and leave it for your art class? Just me? Anyhoo, I like what I attempted and will try to perfect. Maybe a darker denim shirt. Maybe a denim jacket instead? Experimentation is key!

A Look to Steal
This look is stolen straight from the pages of Instyle Magazine! The focus on the red blazer. The bold pop of red against your faded pair of denim is genius! Add a button down, animal print pumps and a splash of royal blue, and you've instantly updated your favorite pair of jeans. They also paired this look with several strands of pearls and glass necklaces. I can't wait to re-create this look and soon! MAH-JOR!

Oh So Chic
Vest: Rachel Zoe Luxe via QVC; Blouse: Ann Taylor Loft;
Jeans: Ann Taylor Loft: Shoes: Ann Taylor (gift);
Necklace: Ann Taylor (gift); Sunglasses: Prada (gift)
The Zoe Report asked via Twitter "What could be chicer than Friday?" For me it was wearing a Rachel Zoe Luxe fur vest! Very apropos, no? And because I felt so luxe, I decided to take my posing seriously! And another thing, how amazing is my necklace? I love how the art deco design and how rich it is in hue. Definitely a statement piece that works well on its own, but really amps up this "oh so chic" look!

New Combination
Sweater: Ann Taylor; Top/Pants/Belt: Ann Taylor Loft:
Booties: Tori Burch (gift); Watch: Emporio Armani (gift);
Bracelets: Ralph Lauren, Fossil, JewelMint; My Mom's
I was unsure of this pairing when getting dressed yesterday, but the end result was just what I was hoping to achieve. The t-neck was new for Christmas and I'm so hesitant to wear short sleeves in the winter. What does one do, layer! I love the floaty top, seen here. The design is unique and the material so light that you can wear it with just about anything. And, with the temps hovering around 60, it was a winning combination!
