McQueen

Jacket: Zara; Tank: McQueen via Gilt; Jeans: Ann Taylor; Shoes: Burberry Prorsum via Shopbop;
Sunnies: MARC by Marc Jacobs; Earrings/Bracelets: Silpada;

I am finally wearing my McQueen tank that I purchased from Gilt last season. I hadn't worn until now for fear it would be too tight! (It just seemed liked it would be super fitted). Well, it's fitted but in all the right places. It slims my waistline and glides over the body. I love a tank that can do that!! I just hate I never took my jacket off. However, summer has just begun and this little guy will be making appearances all season long!

Happy Early Birthday!

Top: Ann Taylor; Pants: J.Crew; Cuff: Ann Taylor (gift);
Shoes: Burberry Prorsum via Net-A-Porter;
Watch: Emporio Armani (gift)

 I purchased this top a couple of weeks ago at Ann Taylor's summer sale and forgot all about it. I found it this weekend while straightening up. It was still in the bag wrapped in tissue paper! It was like my birthday only four months early. Who doesn't love that!

What I love about this top is the contrast piping in faux leather. You can't really see it in the photos, but I feel like it adds a bit of luxe to such a simple top. And the little zipper is so cute! You know me! I'm a sucker for details. And the leather cuff with large gold lock really pulls it all together. Simple yet such a statement!

Sparkles

Top: Ann Taylor; Skirt: Loft; Belt: Ann Taylor;
Shoes: Burberry Prorsum; Jewelry: Silpada;
Sunnies: Marc by Marc Jacobs

I love when you can make two pieces look like one. This skirt is perfect for that! I've made it look like a dress by pairing it with simple tops on two occasions now and it seems the options are endless! This is how you work your wardrobe!

I remember pairing this top last season with gray cropped pants but I'm assuming photos were never captured as I can't find them! I wore my gray J.Crew pants, left the top un-tucked and paired them with my silver Banana Republic heels. The skirt was originally paired with a cream/black striped sweater, tucked in, and paired with the same belt below. See, I do repeat pieces!!

Check out the sweet details of the top below. I love the delicate lace dotted with tiny sparkles and how it ties at the neck in the back. Such a feminine feel!
