Transition to Fall....

Top: Anthropologie; Jeans: LOFT; Booties: ShoeDazzle; Handbag: Kooba (similar);
Bracelets: J.Crew (similar)/Stella & Dot; Necklace: Stella & Dot; Shades: Prada (similar)

Calling all Anthropologie shoppers! Today is a great day to stock up on all those pieces you've been eyeing, on sale or regular priced, because for today and today only they are offering FREE shipping on all orders! ALL ORDERS! Now that's something to celebrate! So let's get shopping!

Speaking of Anthropologie, I purchased this top a couple of weeks ago during their big summer sale. I love the soft fabric, the perforated faux leather, and the fact that it's a perfect piece to transition into fall. I love how it pops against the white denim, something I haven't been wearing much of this summer, and I can't wait to style it for fall. I'm thinking skinny jeans and tall boots. And, it's on sale right now for $30! (Speaking of bargains, let's talk about my shoes. I picked these babies up for $13!! That's right, $13! I love them!)

While we're talking about fall transition, I've picked some of my favorites from Anthropologie! They know how to do BOHO chic!!

Fall is knocking on your door and you better answer it! Time to get shopping!!

My Booties with Cut-Offs

 Sweater: Anthropologie (similar); Tank: Old Navy; Shorts: Rachel Zoe (similar);
Booties: Rebecca Minkoff (similar); Shades: MARC by Marc Jacobs;
 Handbag: STEVEN by Steve Madden; Necklaces: The Zoe Collective/Stella & Dot
Ring: Tori Spelling (similar); Lip Color: MAC Ruby Woo

Ever put something on in your mind and only hoped it worked once you actually put it on? That's what happened with this look. Remember when I posted about the trend of booties with cut-offs a couple of weeks ago? Well, I have imagined this look ever since, but I've been so afraid to actually to wear it. That is until earlier this week. And I hate that I waited so long!

I am obsessed with the look. Not actually my look, but this BOHO look in general. I feel like I should be on the beach in Venice, CA just hanging with friends and waiting for that bonfire to light up. And, I felt this look gave me a bit of attitude and a confidence that I haven't felt in a really long time. You may just see me in this in every post until winter!

You've seen the looks on celebrities and now on a real life girl! What do you think of the look? Will you give it a go? I'm so glad I did!!

The Perfect Piece

Vest: Old Navy (on sale); Tee: J.Crew Factory (super cute option on maj sale);
Shorts: Self-Made (similar/on sale);  Sandals: Tory Burch
Handbag: STEVEN by Steve Madden; Earrings: Silpada; Shades: ULTA (similar)

I've worn these shorts off and on all summer, but have never really had the right look to blog about....until now! Sometimes adding the right piece just brings it all together and that's what happened when I threw on this vest. I often forget about it, but with transition to fall just around the corner, I think this vest will be perfect come fall!

"I Drove Out to the County Fair"

Top: Tulip (check the store); Shorts: LOFT (fun option); Belt: Target (similar);
 Sandals: Seychelles (similar); Shades: ULTA; Hat: Arden B; Earrings: BaublesbyAndrea via Etsy

Last weekend was the Johnson County Fair and it's one of my favorite things to attend in the summer. I've always been a fair kind of girl. It all started with parking lot carnivals as a child and my love of rides has been solid ever since. And fairs are the best summer festivity of them all! One of my early dates with the hubs was at the JoCo Fair fourteen years ago. It's only right that we continue the tradition with our son!

And because we were at the fair, and next to the largest piece of farming equipment I've ever seen, it was only appropriate to snap some blog photos! I love this little top that I picked up at Tulip last month. It's a "crop top" without being a super short version. Another way to wear the trend without feeling like you're showing tons of skin. (Remember this top styling?) I added some color with these little, green, print shorts and neon yellow belt. It didn't hurt that the John Deere was green and yellow....

What do you think of this version of the crop top? Something you would think of wearing? Or is it still too much skin for your liking? Let's discuss!

Head to Toe

 Top: J.Crew Factory (similar); Skirt: ASOS (similar); Belt: Ann Taylor;
 Shoes: Jimmy Choo (similar); Handbag: Kooba via Rue La La (similar);
Shades: MARC by Marc Jacbos;  Necklaces: J.Crew (similar)/Tori Spelling;
 Bracelets: J.Crew (similar/similar); Rings: Gorjana/Stella & Dot;
 Lip Color: MAC Ruby Woo

 This look is exactly what happens when you shop from your closet. I had a meeting last week with a potential client and really wanted to look stylish not businessy. I originally tried on a beige, linen sheath dress, but it just seemed to scream boring. Then I saw this top and wondered how it would go with the red midi. Would the reds be too much? Would they clash? Turns out, they were just right!

I tried the small black belt featured below, but it was just too heavy. I pulled this belt from the pile and loved it! A neutral shoe, bag, and gobs of gold statement jewelry completed the look. And just like that, my closet shopping created a look from head to toe!

Spotlight on Boden

I have always been a huge fan of Boden, yet I don't own a single piece. However, my son's wardrobe consists of about 75% of their Mini Boden line, all of which are a mix of prints, graphics, and the cutest sweatshirts. And even though he's mine, he always looks adorable in their clothes!!

What draws me to their women's line is the vintage spirit within their designs. It reminds me of 60s Mod but never looks costumey. The silhouettes are simple and streamlined and blend easily with pieces that already exist in my closet.

I recently received their catalog in the mail, immediately starting dog-earring pages, and couldn't stop! Most of the items I picked are easy pieces that will work with my more casual daily looks, but a couple of them can be paired with pencil skirts and flat front pants. And any one of them, aside from the dress, can be work with skinny jeans! I love a flexible wardrobe. Oh, and did I mention this is all for fall? Yes, fall! It's right around the corner....

With that being said, here are a few of my picks from Boden newest arrivals!

What are you thinking of adding to your closet for fall? Anything stand out? I don't want to give up summer, but fall fashion is my favorite thing ever.....aside from my son and his Mini Boden pieces!!

Happy Friday!!
